First Baptist Church in Huffman TX has been serving as a shelter and is now transitioning into a distribution center. They will be serving 3 hot meals a day to the community as well as distributing supplies. They have been running a shelter in their church as well as in the local elementary school since the storm hit their area.

My home church, Main Street Baptist Church, and Making It Real Ministries are working together to support FBC Huffman’s efforts to care for the people in their part of the Houston area who have been impacted by the flooding.

We have a personal connection with this church and know that 100% of the donations will go to support the Harvey Relief Efforts.

Brad Ballard

Brad Ballard, my friend and Main Street’s Outreach and Evangelism Pastor, is very good friends with Mike Martin, pastor of FBC Huffman. Brad grew up in Kingwood and has many friends and family who are impacted by the flooding happening in Houston.

The FBC team is exhausted and needs some relief and more supplies ASAP. Main Street Baptist Church is sending a team and a load of supplies tomorrow morning (Friday, September 1). They will work with Mike Martin and the folks at FBC to assess needs and determine the best way we can support their efforts.

We are raising money to fill at least one semi trailer with badly needed supplies such as diapers, medicines, and food. We hope to have enough donations to purchase the supplies and transport them early next week. That’s where your donations come in!!

A big thank you to Joe Lykes of Lykes Cartage in Round Rock who has graciously donated a semi to haul the supplies!

Your donation of any amount will be put to good use.

The people in Huffman and the surrounding area are in great need. Please be praying for them and for all who are working to share the love of Jesus in practical and effective ways during this crisis.

Your donation will go directly to Main Street Baptist Church and will be designated for the Hurricane Relief. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible. And the transaction is secure and processed via Paypal.
